The who of man.



Behind this helm of life I stand,
Holding fast, to Stay the course.
Resting in this awesome fact,

Whether seas be calm or rough ,
I WILL GO THROUGH, with no remorse,
to peace in harbors bluff.



Think of rough times as an exercise in,
PERSEVERANCE and CHARACTER.

This is the WHO of man.

We are all on a journey through the sea of life.
You will bask in the Sun,
in one moment,
and be shattered on the rocks,
the next.
What makes you a man,
is what you do,
when that storm comes.
You must look into the face,
of that storm, and yell,
at the top of your voice.
I know the hand that created you,
and His hand protects me,
so bring it on.
I will go through,
as his hand covers me.
Old Proverb, In this world
you will have tribulations,
but fear not, for He has overcome the world.

Remember, this life is only,
the journey, preparing
for greater things.
Don't look back, with remorse,
wishing you had taken
a better path.
You are wiser and stronger
because of your mistakes.

You are the one who can, truly point to the right path, for those who follow.

Stop to Smell The Roses

I have never claimed to have an original thought, 
but rather a transporter of valuable truth,
hidden deep in the holds of my ship of life 
to share with those in need.

To some they have no value
but to others, they are life indeed.

Deut. 30. 19 : I set before you, life and death. 
 Choose life that you and your seed may live.

Example:
Happiness and love are in your hands
to choose or reject.
To reject is to choose bitterness.

To Quote the words of a poet:
“Some say, love it’s a river
that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor 
that leaves the soul to bleed.
Some say Love it is a hunger
an endless ache and need.
I say, love it is a flower, 
and you it’s only seed.

It’s the heart, afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It’s the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It’s the one who won’t be taken 
that never seems to give.
And the soul afraid of dying, 
that never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long,
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong,
just remember in the winter,
far beneath the bitter snow,

that with the Son’s love,
in the spring becomes a rose.

Leadership.

The gift of your Leadership will be measured
By your capacity to control and lead yourself.
Leadership is a decision of courage,
to take on the responsibility of self discipline;
Then to overlook the shortcomings of others
and lead them by example and patience
with the humble attitude of
remembering that you still have weaknesses also.

Always strive to increase your knowledge,
and to Conquer greater mountains.
Your mistakes and failures will keep you humble,
and cause your life to be a good example
of true leadership.
For a leader is not one who is perfect,
but one who will make enough decisions
or enough mistakes
until he finds the right answer.
Have a dream and help build one for others.
Give them a vision,
because without a vision or a goal,
they will die.
Pursue your vision or goal
with your eye always on the finish line.
Pursue integrity so as to run a straight course,
because the end does not justify the means.
Don't consider the suffering and the pain of this present time,
for it shell all be dwarfed by the glory
that shall be revealed at the end of the race,
and this is then called the beginning.
Integrity, self discipline, ramifications.
i.e.. consider the outcome of your decisions.
This all equals wisdom.
 

TRIP TO WASHINGTON DC.


As I boarded the plane, I noticed how much the air lines had scaled back,
to conserve on cost.
Instead of a 747, or a DC nine, I found myself,
boarding an oversized VW bus,
with wings attached,
and two red fire-extinguishers,
duct-taped to the back for jet engines.
With nothing in my hands
I had to scoot down the aisle sideways
to get to my seat,
there it was; 11 b,
I sat down and buckled up,
as I noticed
what everyone else was doing,
waiting to go who knows where.
Then that familiar voice came over the speaker,
good morning ladies and gentlemen,
we are happy to welcome you aboard flight number double O7,
we would like to remind you of the
Ten Commandments, in other words
rules and regulations,
of the airlines.
As she droned on with this memorized speech,
you could see she was just going through the motions,

and really didn't give a damn,
this is what she had to do in order to make a living.
I noticed that all the people were bizzying themselvs,
doing whatever they needed to do,
and this dribble was
just part of what one must endure,
in order to get to wherever they were going.
Suddenly it struck me!
This is like it is as we go to church.
We show up at church and go through the motions,
doing what ever everyone else is doing
in hopes of getting to wherever it is they think they are going.

as THE OLD SAYING GOES:
I wish you were hot or cold but because you are indifferent
your constitutional liberties and freedoms
are being ripped away by
self-serving
POLITICIANS.

The Lost Horizon.

In many cases the media is inundating
us with the cares of this moment,
and so if we accept it we stop the flow
of His mercy and grace,
which leads us to hope.

JJUST A THOUGHT.

Very few of us are able to pick up a brush and paint a masterpiece for all to admire.
But at the same time we all have elevated ourselves to be critiques or judges.
For instance I like this!
Or, I don't like that!
and yet,
if we found a scrap of paper with Michael Angelo
or Leonardo da Vinci etchings,
we would guard or cherish that scrap of paper because we knew who the artist was that painted it.

How is it? that I find myself doing or elevating myself to criticize or judge others.
After all, who is it that created that person in His own image.
Yes!! I know that person made poor choices and is not so lovely,
BUT WHO AM I TO JUDGE.
Have I not made poor decisions also.
I suppose I could spare a little grace.

Rich Dad Poor Dad.

The poor father works with his son on an old car.
The boys imagination and testosterone pushes him on-words towards this great love,
his first car.
With great imagination and vision,
the more the boy
moves forward in time, he takes his first step on the moon.

The Rich Dad is working hard to provide all those things for his boy that he did not have when he was a young man.

The father says I want it to be easier for my boy than it was for me.
So the father buys his son
a brand new car
and pays for his college
where the boy learns
entitlement, share the wealth,
the attitude of Robin Hood,
take from the rich
give to the poor,
pleasure, amusement, drugs,
free love.

As the boy makes his first slippery step into the gutter

The father says what went wrong I gave him everything,
everything but my time.

How do we assess
the value of a man's life.

After all was sold the auctioneer held up
an old battered violin.

Who will give me a dollar,
do I hear two,
$3,
how about 4.
The old man in the back asked to see the violin.

He handled it with care'
and tuned it up.

Then picking up the bow,
he played the sweetest melody.

The auctioneer quietly said,
who will give me 500,
do I hear a thousand'
two thousand,
how about 4,
$5,000 sold.

The question arose,
what made the difference,
in the value of this old violin.

When we are faced with an eternal future!

Why are we so preoccupied with the temporal excitement of now?

To gather goods and expensive things of pleasure and comfort,
while standing at a bus stop, only to leave it all behind when the bus comes.

Where is the wisdom in that?

Should you be comfortable and have pleasure in this life?
Yes as much as you can.

But remember it is all only passing,
you must hold to all of these things loosely.

Don't let these things master you and miss your ultimate goal.

YOU ARE MEANT TO BE SALT.

Salt may add flavor,
Salt may encourage thirst,
Salt will sting a wound,
but encourage healing.

But that is not the true work of salt.
Salt is meant to be a preservative.

As an old seaman I have become salty.
My reason for living now, is
to preserve the good.
that I have found in this life,
and then to pass it on to you.

I am old enough so that
I don't give a damn
what other self-righteous intellectuals
say or think that I should do.
I do not owe them anything I don't look to them for approval.
I have lived my imperfect life and suffered,
learning right from wrong.
(good from bad)

My job now is to preserve the good
and to leave a map for those who follow.

Trials in life are inevitable.
Don't abhorre the coming tests,
but take joy in passing the test.

For each test is only a rung on the ladder of life,
with each step the Vista, joy, wisdom,
is more majestic.

What is the backbone of our great country?

and understand the blessing poured out on you by the Creator.

You must have an attitude of gratitude.

NOW, Regarding the statement; ..

They must see, and experience it.

The backbone of the USA is the CHURCH, not the financial industry .

So if the church is not HUMBLED, and brought to its knees,
to feel persecution from a tyrannical government, because of the loss, of their freedom of worship,
the Church will willfully fall asleep again, and we will not have freedom, unless we wake up.

The Stone Rejected.

Psalm 118 verse 22.
The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone.
This stone can refer to the last stone to be placed into an arch, which is called the center stone, or the capstone, on the top of the Pyramid of Cheops.

As Michael Angelo combed through the rubble of an old rock quarry, he came upon one stone, which was tossed to the side, as useless,
because of a great fracture in it.
With great loving care, he carried it to His own home
and began to work on this impossible task, to shape it into the form of David.

In the same way, the son of David,
has searched through
the gutters of this world,
and He has found you and I,
rejected and cast away.

He has made a place in His heart for us.

If we will receive and submit to His love,
He will transform us into his own image.

Jesus is the capstone,
but He has chosen you and I,
to be part of His great building,
if we will submit to His hammer and chisel,
and finally, the sand paper and POLLISH .

This is all for the glory
of His great love for us.

The nations of the world are governed by,

We have the masses,
some will be politically minded
and will vote for self-interest and others will vote for the greater good of the nation.
The majority will be the workers who are disinterested.
All they think of is food, shelter, and pleasure.

In order for the leaders to control the masses,
they must control the narrative.

The left will use fear and disinformation with free bread,
which is received by
THE GREED OF INDOLENCE.

THE RIGHT WILL OFFER LIBERTY WITH RESPONSIBILITIES.

Fear and Disinformation will Circle the world before truth can put its shoes on.

Wounds

In dealing with a deep wound it is necessary to expose the wound, clean it, then re-bandage it.
If this is not done,
gangrene will set in,
and finally death.

of the past,
or childhood wounds.
You will never grow to maturity until you deal with the past.
Expose it and let it heal.

Among the pastors
who lead the church today, the greatest thing that is missing is humility. When a pastor stands to teach or lead,

THE BIG BANG

From the moment of coitus till now you have been called to the race.

In the beginning there was this exciting orgasmic mad rush
of thousands,

with the whole world cheering your arrival.

Your thought from that great start was:
Wow it's all about me.

the fourth quarter.

You find it is not as glorious as you thought life is.

Its not all about you
you're being knocked around,
misunderstood, ridiculed,
life is not fair.

You tried to run straight and were deceived by the cunning alure
of the beauty of evil and desire,
you tripped,
you fell,
now you want to quit.

But stop, wait!

This race is not about being first!

This race is about standing with courage upon the truth
that has been revealed to you.

Hold fast!--Stay the course!
you will!

There were two lifeguards
sitting on their great and high pedestals
by the beach.
They both came from two different schools of thought.
Today they had a trainee with them

The two lifeguards were arguing
as to just how the proper way was
to save this young lady.
While at the same time the young trainee went out and saved her, brought her back. And she was so happy about it.

The two lifeguards decided to chastise the young man because he didn't do a very good job of saving her

My thought is this:
Is this not like our different denominations fighting amongst each other while the world is going to hell in a hand-basket?

The bitter sweet joy of overcoming temptation.

There was a young man infatuated with lighthouses later on in life he was given one to care for.
So he worked diligently every day to clean and paint the outside and a polish all of the glass in this lighthouse.

His favorite place was a beautiful room at the top of the lighthouse.
The view was magnificent what pride he took in all of its beauty

But after working so hard all day he found it difficult to sleep at night ,
with that glaring light
going round and round.

It was so much more peaceful to just turn the light out and enjoy the stars and the moon at night.

But one night there came a mighty storm and he was asleep.

HIS LIGHT WAS OUT

ANOTHER THOUGHT

There was a man who suffered great in his desire to bring light into the world.

After much effort he created the light bulb and then he created many more.

He was so pleased with his creation,
and there was a great love affair between him and his creation.

So he gave the light bulbs the Great Commission ---

You are the light of the world,
fill the world with light.

They immediately went out and spread the light over the whole world,
but after a while they would just get together once a week in a very dark room to compete with each other as to who was brighter than the other.

Occasionally a dim bulb would come in.
Or one that was flickering and almost going out.

They would jump on them or condemn them for not being very bright.

They had forgotten the greatest principle, and that is even the smallest spark in a very dark cave can lead the people to salvation.

WHO is Life?

I once referred to life as a benevolent master who gives to all but rewards only those who seek.

Let's look at life as a loving mother or father who plays peek-a-boo with the new born baby.

Why peekaboo?

For this reason only,
to establish confidence in the child ,
so that even though the parent is not seen
HE is still there watching.

If you seek me with all your heart you will find me always there!!!!

Death is a faithful servant,
who visits us all!

Then to sort us out in different places
of our own choosing.

One day the ruler of life and death
will relieve death of his duties,

HE then will rule and reign over ALL!

In many cases the media is inundating
us with the cares of this moment,
and so if we accept it we stop the flow
of His mercy and grace
which leads us to hope.

How often we see the
union between a man and a woman,
they come together
they may even be by all outward appearances to become one.
But in reality it was only superficial
they produced children
they may even have worked or toiled together.
Did they ever learn to communicate?
Deep too deep,
and in the final parting were they only two ships passing out at sea?

THE APPLE WITH A WORM

The worm hole in the Apple:

Get rid of your ego,

and go back to delivering
